Subscription & Billing Policy

This Subscription & Billing Policy governs paid subscriptions, billing, cancellation, and refunds between you ("you" or "your") and standardtests.org ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). By purchasing a subscription, you agree to this Policy in full.
1. Service Overview
standardtests.orgprovides personality and trait assessment quizzes, personalised result reports, and related content through its website and platform (the “Services”). The Services are powered by a combination of human expertise and large language model (LLM) systems. Producing, maintaining, and delivering personalised assessments requires significant ongoing investment in technology, infrastructure, editorial oversight, and operational resources.
2. Subscription Plans & Pricing
Certain features of the Services are available only on a paid subscription basis (“Subscription”). Subscription plans, pricing, and promotional offers may vary by test, campaign, and promotional period. The specific price and billing terms applicable to your purchase are always displayed on the checkout page at the time of purchase and constitute the binding terms of your Subscription.
2.1. Standard Billing Structure
Unless otherwise stated at checkout, our standard billing works as follows:
- Introductory service charge: A one-time charge of $1.97 USD is billed immediately at the time of purchase. This covers initial account provisioning, assessment generation, and delivery of your first result.
- Weekly subscription: Beginning 7 days after the date of your initial purchase, your subscription renews automatically at a rate of $25.00 USD per week, billed to the payment method on file.
Promotional offers may modify these amounts or timelines. Where a promotional offer conflicts with the standard terms above, the specific terms displayed at checkout will govern.
2.2. Introductory & Trial Offers
From time to time, we may offer introductory or trial periods at a reduced price. Unless otherwise specified, any trial or introductory period will automatically convert into a full paid Subscription at the applicable standard rate upon expiration of the promotional period. To avoid being charged at the standard rate, you must cancel at least twenty-four (24) hours before the promotional period ends.
3. Automatic Renewal
All Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least twenty-four (24) hours before the end of the current period. The renewal fee will be charged automatically using the payment method on file. It is your responsibility to monitor your billing dates and cancel before renewal if you do not wish to continue.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel your Subscription at any time. Cancellation is immediate and simple:
- Visit our cancellation page, enter the email address associated with your account, and follow the one-click cancellation link we send to your inbox.
- Alternatively, contact us via our contact form.
Cancellation stops all future billing. However, cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the current billing period unless explicitly stated in this Policy or required by applicable law.
Important: Deleting your account, uninstalling an application, or simply ceasing to use the Services does not cancel your Subscription. You must follow the cancellation process described above.
5. Payments, Taxes & Failed Charges
Subscription fees are presented at the time of purchase and may reflect taxes where required by applicable law. If a payment attempt fails (for example, due to an expired card or insufficient funds), we may retry the charge using the payment method on file. If payment cannot be successfully processed, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to paid features until the outstanding payment is resolved.
6. Refund Policy
The Services involve substantial per-user cost. Each assessment is generated individually using a combination of proprietary algorithms, large language model processing, human editorial review, and server infrastructure. Once your result has been generated and delivered, those resources have been consumed and cannot be recovered.
6.1. Refund Eligibility
We may, at our sole discretion, issue a refund if all of the following conditions are met:
- The refund request is submitted within 14 days of the initial purchase.
- The request relates to the initial subscription purchase only (not renewals).
- You can demonstrate a genuine technical issue that prevented you from receiving or accessing your assessment result (e.g., screenshots showing errors, screen recordings demonstrating the problem).
- The Services have not been excessively used or the refund policy abused.
6.2. Non-Refundable Cases
Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:
- Requests submitted after the 14-day refund window.
- Renewal charges, unless required by applicable law.
- Failure to cancel a Subscription before automatic renewal.
- Dissatisfaction based solely on personal preference or disagreement with the content of your results.
- Purchases made through third-party platforms, unless required by law.
6.3. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact us through our contact form within 14 days of your initial purchase. Include proof of the issue (screenshots, screen recordings, a description of the problem). Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method and may take several business days depending on the payment provider.
7. Abuse Prevention
We reserve the right to deny refund requests and/or terminate accounts if we detect abuse of the refund policy, including but not limited to: repeated refund requests, excessive usage prior to requesting a refund, chargebacks filed in bad faith, or any form of fraudulent behaviour.
8. EU Consumer Rights
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a digital service contract within fourteen (14) days from the date of purchase. However, this right does not apply if you expressly consented to immediate access to the Services and acknowledged that you would lose your right of withdrawal once the Services began. Nothing in this Policy limits mandatory consumer rights under applicable laws.
9. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Subscription & Billing Policy at any time. Changes will become effective upon publication on the Services. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
